Topic: From Anti-Hero to Superwoman: How Women Can Rewrite Their Money Story & Embrace Their Investing Superpowers
Date: November 14, 2024
Time: 11 am – 12 noon
Program Description: “It’s me, hi, I’m the problem, it’s me.” In her wildly popular anthem Anti-Hero, Taylor Swift lays bare her anxieties and self-doubt. You might wonder how someone so talented and so celebrated could feel so insecure? And yet, success is not a proxy for confidence which is why so many successful and accomplished women lack confidence when it comes to money. In fact, in Fidelity’s 2021 Women and Investing Study, only 33% of women see themselves as investors and only 42% feel confident in their ability to save for future milestones like retirement. What does that mean for the large majority of women who will become their family’s sole financial decision maker? Or the trillions of dollars of wealth that women control? Sarah Charles explores what contributes to women’s lack of confidence when it comes to investing, and how women can overcome the disconnect between their anxieties and their strengths, so that they can embrace their full financial power.
Learning Objectives: Have a better idea of what drives their Anti-Hero behavior when it comes to money; Reframe their perspective around risk; develop more confidence when it comes to investing.
