The purpose of the College Relations committee is to promote a mutually beneficial relationship between SHRM Savannah professionals and its SHRM student members.
Employer Site Tour Program
SHRM Savannah College Relations committee is seeking to partner with local colleges and universities who offer human resources courses that are aligned with SHRM. Our goal is to establish our first student chapter within the next year. Student members will be provided opportunities to engage with employers that will allow HR Students an opportunity to tour a corporate Human Resources department to gain insight in the field of Human Resources. During the tour students will interact with different position levels and specialties and have the ability to ask questions in a Q&A panel format. At the end of the tours, students will have a greater understanding of the field of Human Resources from a corporate perspective.
Professional Speakers
Once the SHRM Savannah student chapter has been established, we will seek professional speakers to participate in student chapter meetings, HR panel discussions and career development events.
