Benefits of Membership
Monthly Educational Meetings – Opportunity to hear industry experts present relevant information on timely topics in a variety of areas from Talent Acquisition/Management, Strategic HR Management, Compensation and Benefits, Learning and Development, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Legal updates and more. Each meeting provides attendees with 1 Professional Development Credits (PDCs) through SHRM. SHRM Savannah meets the 3rd week of each month (except during the month of our Annual Conference). Our meetings are open to both members and non-members.
Resilient HR Annual Conference – A one day event that includes exceptional presenters and sponsors, and awards multiple PDCs through SHRM.
Career Resources - SHRM Savannah has a dedicated career center (coming soon) to search available positions and to list HR Job postings. Members and non-members will be able to post an open position, search for available jobs and post their resumes. Fees for posting will be listed on our website.
Georgia State Council (One SHRM Georgia) Membership and Conference – All SHRM Savannah members automatically become One SHRM Georgia members. The annual two-and-a-half-day conference will be held in Savannah this year on September 28th - 30th at the Savannah Convention Center. The event is sponsored by the SHRM Georgia State Council.
Professional Certification – SHRM Savannah is in the process of planning to offer certification preparation courses and study groups for the SHRM-CP/SCP certifications through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and for the PHR/SPHR certifications through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). More details on upcoming preparation courses and study groups coming soon! Student Chapters – SHRM Savannah is seeking to partner with local colleges and universities in the area to sponsor and support a student chapter, provide structured training, mentoring and development programs. Student membership applies to individuals pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree only. More information will be posted on our College Relations page.

TYSK Newsletter - The SHRM Savannah publishes a monthly/quarterly newsletter to share information, best practices and highlighting the Human Resource profession.
