Join us for this in-person event as our panel discusses the challenges of hiring we are all facing these days, and ways to expand our pool of candidates.

Panel Members:

Mr. Frederic T. Green is a native of Savannah, Ga, and currently works as an Adjunct Professor of Sociology at Point University, Adjunct Professor of Human Service Administration at St. Leo’s University, and a Case Manager for American Work Inc. in Savannah, Ga.  He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Religion with a minor in Psychology from St. Leos University, Master of Social Work Degree from Savannah State University, and is a graduate of the National Leadership Academy (NLA Class 11 2017) through Step-up Savannah. 

Mr. Green is the founder of the Faces And Voices Of Reintegration (FAVOR) whose mission is to highlight the successes of formerly incarcerated individuals in order to change public perceptions that drives public policy.  Mr. Green currently sits as Chair of the Housing Committee, and Co-Chair of the Policy Committee for Advocates for Restorative Community Savannah (ARCS) Mayor Van Johnsons Reentry Task force. Mr. Green hope is that he will have the opportunity to spend the balance of his professional career helping to improve our interconnected system of community service, making it more effective for those most in need of social services, and to be instrumental in making improvements and reforms in practice and policies with children and their families, while sharing the love of CHRIST.  Mr. Green is committed to serving and engaging his community while continuing to “Be the Change He Desires to See in Others.”

Brendan Ferrara worked at Savannah Technical College for 20 years as an instructor, department chair, and academic dean. He was also an adjunct professor in the Economics Department at Armstrong Atlantic State University. He currently is the CEO / President of EmployAbility. 

Brendan is the current chair of the Small Business Assistance Corporation, a board member of the Service Providers Association for Developmental Disabilities, a past board chair of the Tourism Leadership Council, and past treasurer of VisitSavannah. He received the Tourism Leadership Council Member of the Year Award, Savannah Technical College Instructor of the Year Award, and the Community Star Award. He holds an MBA from Georgia Southern University and a BBA from the University of Cincinnati.

Jon Morgan is a retired Human Resources Manager & Career Counselor from the Georgia Army National Guard Active-Duty program after 25 years of honorable service. For the past three years, he has worked as the Employment Coordinator with Work for Warriors Georgia which is dedicated to providing employment assistance such as resume writing/review, interview preparation, career educational guidance, and job/resource fair facilitator, to current Georgia Army & Air National Guardsman, Veterans (all branches), and Military Spouses within the Southeast Georgia Region. Jon serves as a liaison for hiring managers and government officials by providing insight and recommendations on what a serviceman has to offer.
