About the Event

The SHRM Savannah Resilient HR Annual Conference is scheduled for August 22, 2024. Our annual conference offers a unique opportunity for HR professionals and non-HR professionals alike to hear from dynamic speakers and become inspired, connected and empowered. SHRM Savannah is committed to engaging with HR and non-HR professionals through energizing and informative program speakers, and facilitating networking and business opportunities for business partners through interactive exhibition and a dynamic program of events.

SHRM Savannah expects 150 attendees from the Coastal Empire and Low Country and surrounding area and include HR professionals from small to large organizations across a variety of industries. Our business partners and exhibitors will receive acknowledgement prior to, during and after the conference through conference materials, our website and social media, and enjoy contact with HR professionals during the exhibition and event. 

SHRM Savannah will adhere to all guidelines from the CDC, the State and the City. If the facility requires masks, we will follow the guidelines of the facility indicating that masks be worn inside at all times. If you are experiencing any illness symptoms, please do not attend the event. We are committed to creating a safe environment to meet in-person. We will use social distancing with our seating plan, meal preparation and other safety measures. The safety of all our guests, including our presenters, is paramount. In order to provide the safest environment possible for all in attendance, we will expect everyone on site to follow the established safety precautions as mandated by the state, city, hotel and/or the conference leaders. Due to the volatile nature of the pandemic, changes to our conference structure, up to and including cancellation, may become necessary. We will communicate changes as they become necessary. Should SHRM Savannah not be able to hold an in-person event (practicing social distancing and other CDC recommended precautions) we will consider a virtual only conference. All on-site and virtual A/V needs will be provided by a technology vendor of our choosing.

A Note Concerning Honoraria

SHRM Savannah has a tradition of offering professional development programs that encourage innovation in the field of human resource. We look for contributors who are willing to share their expertise without expectation of payment in the spirit of learning and networking, a purpose for which we were founded. SHRM Savannah seeks presentation proposals that focus on cutting edge issues and key topics. SHRM Savannah programs and meetings which provides our members and business community to keep up with the rapidly changing HR and workplace environment. SHRM Savannah believes that the attendance and decision-making authority of our audience provides a significant opportunity for speakers to increase their visibility and establish valuable contacts with a targeted HR audience.

HR Credit Sessions

Sessions must relate directly to the PHR & SPHR Body of Applied Skills & Knowledge and SHRM HR Competencies. Our goal is to ensure that all meetings receive HR or Business recertification credits with the HR Recertification Institute and SHRM Professional Development Credits.  Sessions should be 60 minutes in length. Speakers are expected to honor our commitment to provide education by not showcasing or promoting the speaker's practice, services or products.  

Accepted Speakers can expect:

·         a wide range of exposure to Human Resource professionals across Savannah and the Coastal Empire and surrounding areas, including listings on the conference website and program;

·         ability to participate in all conference activities, including meals, at no charge on the day(s) of their presentation(s); and

·        the location provides ample accommodations. Speakers are responsible for booking accommodations directly with their hotel of choice for the night(s) required. The cost of the room is the speaker’s responsibility.

We encourage you to decide about your attendance for the full conference quickly upon being notified of your acceptance to speak.
